Who is a Judge ? Who is a healer ?

The last week end would have been quite a sad, tragic one, but for that God had his plans.

When two individuals have difference of opinion, they often think of separation. An easy way out. The fall out seldom given a second thought. When a husband - wife combination quarrels, it is humane to come out with the conclusion in favour of the person who reports it, or whom we have a soft corner for. Sympathy - but this may not do justice always.

Moncy and Kunjumol have to open up themselves before each other and sort out their differences in all sense. No one else, but they themselves, can do this exercise with some success. After hearing from both of them I could gather that this couple has had no bondage of being one in spirit ever since they joined. Each one is adamant to prove his or her point and thrust upon the same on the partner without giving an iota of consideration for the other. Both have not fully broken their umbilical cord connections.

I am no judge, nor a psychologist. But learning from life, I thought it fit to advise them to reconcile their problems, sitting together and opening up. That is why I called Moncy today and gave him an elderly advise to patch up with his wife. I am confident, if he does this sincerely, he would be able to sort out his problems, their problems, I mean.

I wish them good luck.

Value of a grain of rice

When we think self centred, we will not see anything beyond the circumferance.

We have to increase our spectrum to include other things and happenings around us. That is how we open a gate for others to think. Great thinkers and professors did this. That is why we have come this far. Our thoughts need not be always correct and accurate. But it give others a link to agree or disagree and of course think.

There are two ways of thining ... one being "let me add one drop to the vast ocean"... the other is "what difference it makes with one drop in the ocean... forget it". This philosophical tip is said and repeated umpteen times by great scholars from time immemmorial.

The other day, I wrote, if Binu could plant a tree for the next generation....... there are umpteen ways of putting this thought... but why Binu only...., all of us including me should introspect in this respect.

Our children should be tought the journey of the grain from the slushy paddy filed to their bon china plate....

This is an exercise every parent should undertake while rearing their children.

Value education is not just teaching them about Ram, Jesus and Mohammad. Buto also letting them know the source of our basic necessities. This should be included in the class room syllabi also. So that when they make the country's economic plans, these section of the society, who are very often forgotten elements also included.

Wah America ! Wah !

It is not an ordinary another day. It is certainly the marking of a new era, Yes indeed ! Barak Obama has made it to the White house, the most powerful yet very hot seat in the world. It is History.

Looking at Obama's origin, it is just another feather to the great democracy, that America is, the people of America chose a man of substance over his colour and other odds.

America is certainly the greatest democracy, a living example of how democracy thrives against all odds.

Down here, we are still looking forward to 'Kings' and 'Queens' to rein us.
